Magician Spreads Tourette Syndrome Awareness on National Television

Nashville Magician Jason Michaels recently appeared on the television show “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” with two goals…1) fool legendary magicians Penn & Teller, and 2) spread Tourette Syndrome awareness.

While Jason ultimately did not fool the Las Vegas magic duo, Penn Jillette exclaimed that Jason’s Tourette Syndrome themed magic trick was “incredibly funny.”

Jason’s original card trick was designed to make his audience laugh at the preconceived notions of what most people think Tourette Syndrome is all while being vulnerable and honest about what it is like to live with the neurological disorder.

Based on Penn’s reference to Allen Ginsberg in his comments, it appears as though Jason did accomplish his goal of spreading Tourette Syndrome awareness and overcoming the stigma that is often attached to the disorder.
